Jacqui Alder Aged 39

When I was 39

When I was 39, I had some glamour shots taken.
Because I was leaving my 30’s behind. Because I wanted to remember how I looked before I hit 40.
I’d spent much of my life before then avoiding having my photograph taken for all the silly reasons so many of us feel the same.

Why do we feel so?

Is it because we have a shadow across our perception?

Is it because photographs can reveal things we don’t want to see in ourselves?

I could write an entire book about what I see in her eyes, and know of her life.
In fact, I have. It will never be published.
Because some things are only for us to know.
Because it’s not the detail of what you’ve done, or what you’ve been through which matters.
It’s how you’ve come to terms with it, what you’ve learned, and how you’ve grown.

Above all it’s finding peace within yourself and acceptance of who you’ve become as a result.

Then you can truly be you.
To you being you.

Being You. Accept yourself. Be yourself. by Jacqui Alder

Be Successful, Be Yourself

Hi, I’m Jacqui Alder. I’m here because I’m over women being told what and how they should be.

You don’t need to be fixed, there’s nothing wrong with you.

I learned this the hard way and now I know better. I now know that the path to making it easier to stay true to yourself begins and ends with you. This is why I’ve created the beautiful books you’ll find here.

Each book is designed to help you hear yourself so you can put your energy into living a life guided by your values rather than worrying whether you’re doing the right thing by everyone else.

If you want to meet me in person or virtually, feel free to contact me. I also invite you to take a look my latest book, Being You, download the guided values exercise from my self coaching journal, or take a peek at my slightly cheeky about me page.
